Our client is a North American provider of commercial security solutions, specializing in security shutters, high-security doors, and retrofit glazing systems designed to enhance protection without full replacement.
Their products are used across a range of environments including retail locations, schools, airports, municipal buildings, and other facilities. The company operates through a hybrid sales model supported by a dealer network.
Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager (Northeast) is responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with regional dealer accounts while identifying and developing new dealer partners across the territory.
This role focuses on achieving regional sales goals, supporting product launches, and expanding market presence. The individual will act as the field subject matter expert for the company’s product lines across the Northeast region.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and expand relationships with commercial door dealers, window and door dealers, glaziers, security consultants, and exterior home improvement companies
Identify and develop new dealer accounts within the assigned territory
Serve as the primary point of contact for dealers and customers
Provide consistent follow-up on questions, issues, and project needs
Assess and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
Manage lead conversion data and maintain accurate CRM records
Work with Engineering and Operations to address unmet product needs
Coordinate internal resources including support, service, and management teams
Train dealer sales teams on identifying opportunities, sales techniques, and installation methods
Conduct ride-alongs with dealer salespeople as needed
Qualifications:
Strong relationship-building skills with experience in dealer/re-seller environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent prioritization, time management, and self-motivation
Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic
Ability to learn technical products and applications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/quoting tools
Education & Experience:
5+ years of B2B sales experience in building materials, glazing/glass, construction, or engineered products
Ability to understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Experience working with architects and designers on project specifications is a plus
Experience with door systems, rolling shutters, or window systems is a plus
Experience with security glazing or ballistic solutions is a plus
Degree preferred, but equivalent experience considered
Day-to-Day:
Travel extensively within the Northeast territory (approximately 3 weeks per month on the road)
Visit existing dealers and develop new dealer relationships
Prospect and onboard new dealer partners in target markets
Train and support dealer sales teams in the field
Manage customer interactions and ongoing account development
Maintain CRM data and track lead conversion activity
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $115,000 – $130,000
Commission: ~20% (uncapped; historically $30K–$40K+, based on performance)
